Introduction

Champawati Hydropower Company is the developer company in power sector having the distinction setting up of its first small hydropower project named as Chepe A Hydropower Project in Chepe River. The company was established in 2010. 

Champawati Hydropower Company has set sights on achieving operational power generation capacity of 7 MW by July 2023. This would go for more power development once the Company forays into development of medium hydropower projects. Champawati HC has at its command the requisite managerial, financial and technological resources to execute power and infrastructure projects of all sizes.

As an experienced team in design, construction, supervision and management in national and international hydropower projects sizes of small to medium, the Company could complete the construction of its project well within the set time frame of 36 months and will efficiently manage the operations and maintenance of the plant.

The company has 211 shareholders including local public. A Board of 9 members are nominated from the existing shareholders. Most of the shareholders are from engineering - background. They all are working in senior levels in National and International Organizations. All Board Members of the company are Engineering Professionals and have long and wide range of experiences in planning, designing, management and business in engineering sectors.

The Company credits this achievement to its dynamic and committed team that comprises of highly accomplished civil/structural, hydropower, mechanical and electrical engineers and management professionals.
